LA SEMANA EN ROCK BLUES COUNTRY CLASICOS.
1.- Jerry Lee Lewis, luego de un 2012 con muy poca actividad (solamente un show, en Memphis el 23 de Agosto), anuncia que Ray Gann será el bajista que reemplazará al recordado B.B.Cunningham. Su primer show será el 5 de Mayo en Beale Street click aqui.-
También se anunció el lanzamiento de un nuevo disco, llamado "Rock'n roll time" con material nuevo.-
2.- Llega el muy esperado super boxset de Johnny Cash, con 63 discos que conformaron su paso por Columbia.
3.- Chuck Berry realizó una gira por Sudamérica, que incluyó una presentación en Buenos Aires, Argentina, el 14 de Abril en el Luna Park.

RIP GEORGE JONES
Legendary country star George Jones has passed away today 26-4-2013 at the age of 81.
George's publicist Kirt Webster says Jones died Friday at Vanderbilt university Medical Center in Nashville after being hospitalized with fever and irregular blood pressure.
George's final concert was scheduled for November 22nd of this year and something tells me this is now going to turn into one of the most amazing tribute shows ever.
Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Pam Tillis, Kathy Mattea, Tracy Lawrence, Patty Loveless, Joe Diffie, Mark Chesnutt, and T. Graham Brown were all previously confirmed to to join George Jones on the final concert of his career at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on November 22nd. Each of these performers were part of George's hit recording, "I Don't Need Your Rockin' Chair."
The sold out show was also set to feature appearances from previously announced special guests Garth Brooks, Kid Rock, Kenny Rogers, Randy Travis, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels, Jamey Johnson, Montgomery Gentry, Shelby Lynne, Sam Moore, Lorrie Morgan, The Oak Ridge Boys, Tanya Tucker, Josh Turner and Gene Watson, among others.
El publicista Kirt Webster dice que Jones murió el 26-4-13 en el Centro Médico de la Universidad Vanderbilt en Nashville después de ser hospitalizado con fiebre y la presión arterial irregular.
El ultimo concierto de George estaba programada para el 22 de noviembre de este año y algo me dice que esto ahora se va a convertir en uno de los más sorprendentes homenaje nunca realizados.
